Mike Tyson is arguably the greatest boxing heavyweight of all time, and the same can be said for Fedor Emelianenko in MMA. It’s now been revealed that the 58-year-old boxer and the 48-year-old MMA fighter may be stepping inside the ring, or the cage, with each other in what would be the most legendary clash of all time.

Mike Tyson Vs Fedor Emelianenko Potentially in the Works

This Massive Superfight Could Take Place In December

It was recently reported by George Glinski that the Kazakh MMA promotion Alash Pride League has offered Tyson a fight against Emilianenko.
“Work in this direction is already underway.” – APL President Alimzhan Bektaev on Tyson vs Emelianenko

This fight, if confirmed, will take place in December 2025 as the APL has scheduled a tournament for that same month, which they want to be headlined by this superfight. It’s currently unknown whether Tyson has accepted the fight, though it’s certain that both legends will be in for a massive payday if this bout does happen.

Would Mike Tyson Vs Fedor Emelianenko Take Place In MMA Or Boxing?

Details Of This Potential Bout Remain Unknown Despite Speculation Rising

It’s currently not known whether the potential Tyson vs Emelinaneko fight will be an MMA or boxing bout, though the almost certain choice is boxing. At nearly 60-years-old, it does not make sense for Tyson to make his MMA debut, and given that Emelianeko retired from MMA in 2023 with no plans to return, a boxing match seems much more likely.

Emelianenko will be entering unfamiliar territory inside a boxing ring years outside his prime, though it’s important to note that he may have the most longevity over any other combat sports fighter in history. The heavyweight legend has had multiple fights in his 40s, all of which took place in Bellator.

Tyson, on the other hand, was 38 when he retired, and lost to influencer Jake Paul with ease following his 19-year return in November 2024.

This would be a much closer fight than expected, despite the fact that Emelianenko has never stepped inside a boxing ring before, and it would not be very shocking to see him earn a potential victory.
